The Morgan County Sheriff's Office has released more information on the physical appearance of a convicted sex offender they have been searching for since Sunday.
Police are continuing to look for Timothy Register who removed his court-ordered GPS bracelet prior to an upcoming sentencing hearing on his case.
A no bond capias warrant for Register's arrest, signed by Judge Stan Moore, was issued Monday, Oct. 14 for failure to abide a judge's order.
Register stands 5 feet 6 inches tall and weighs approximately 145 pounds. He has short gray hair with a medium brown complexion and blue eyes. He has a slim build and has four tattoos.
In addition to Register's mug shot, police have now also released pictures of Register's tattoos to aid in identification.
The recent press release from the sheriff's office stated that law enforcement appreciates all of the tips they have received in the case and for citizens to be cautious if they believe they have seen Register and to immediately report any possible sightings to the sheriff's office by calling 573-378-5481.
Police say Register is considered dangerous.
The sheriff's office was notified by the Morgan County Prosecuting Attorney's Office on Sunday, Oct. 13 that Register had removed the GPS tracker and the device was recovered in Eldon. A search of Register's Sunrise Beach residence uncovered a letter stating that he would not return to prison.
Register was scheduled to be sentenced on Oct. 17 in Morgan County Circuit Court after being convicted earlier this year on four charges related to sexual abuse of a child.
On July 24, Register was convicted of Statutory Sodomy in the 1st Degree for deviant sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 14 with physical injury/display deadly weapon/dangerous instrument/subject victim internally with a person under the age of 12, Statutory Rape in the 1st Degree for sexual intercourse with a person less than 14 and two counts of Child Molestation in the 1st Degree.
