In today’s busy world, women often take care of everybody else before themselves. St. Mary’s Health Center is offering a free community event where women can learn more about their own well-being.
St. Mary’s will host the ninth annual Women’s Health Institute on Thursday, Oct. 10, from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. at Capitol Plaza Hotel in downtown Jefferson City.
Presentations will be given by Dr. Sadia Malik, family medicine, on causes of stomach pain; Dr. Garry Pearson, family medicine, on diabetes; Dr. Walter Coats, cardiologist, on women’s heart health; and Dr. Jodi Berendzen, gynecology/obstetrics, on women’s bladder issues. Free health screenings and a heart-healthy dinner will be offered, plus drawings for prizes from local businesses, during the event.
This event is free and open to the public, but space is limited. Reserve your space by calling the St. Mary’s reservation line at (573) 761-7103, or online at LetHealingBegin.com/rsvp.
