A Camdenton woman is in fair condition after being hit by a car Friday morning.
On Friday, Oct. 4, at 10:38 a.m., officers with the Camdenton Police Department responded to the area of Highway 54 and Illinois NE in reference to a pedestrian accident.
Upon arrival, officers observed a female subject, later identified as 48-year-old Charlene L. Keesaman, of Camdenton, lying in the street. While investigating the crash, officers learned that as a 1999 Plymouth, driven by a 58-year-old female from Stover, was making a left turn from Illinois Street NE onto Highway 54, she struck Keesaman who had walked out onto the highway from the opposite side of the street.
Keesaman was transported to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance with serious injuries. She was life-flighted to University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. for treatment of her injuries and is fair condition.
