William Charles (Chuck) Kerstann III passed away on Friday, September 27th, 2013.

Chuck was born in Kansas City, Missouri on June 9, 1942, to Wilma (nee Brewer) and William C. (Bud) Kerstann Jr.  During his youth he was active in the First Baptist Church of KC and was a Boy Scout, obtaining the honor of Eagle Scout, Order of the Arrow.

Chuck graduated from Southeast High School in 1960 and attended Central Missouri University, graduating in 1964 with a B.S. degree in Law Enforcement.  Chuck married Margaret Louise (nee Brown) on August 29, 1964. Starting in October 1964, Chuck was employed by the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).   

Chuck is survived by his wife Marge; sons Robert Charles (Tammy); Keith William (Kimberly); grandchildren Kyle, Katie and Jake; sister Susan Duffy ( Richard), sisters-in-law Donna Page (Randy) and Barbara Warner (Tom); nephews Larry Page (Christine), Tommy Warner, Bob Warner (Melissa); nieces Kimberly Heigele (Chris, children Ben and Claire), Lori Page, Shari Warner, and Cindy Warner; and “adopted” third son Nael Hasan.

Visitation at 12:00 and service at 1:00 on Friday, October 4th will be held at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Winship Cancer Institute, Office of Gift Records, Emory University, 1762 Clifton Rd NE, Suite 1400, Atlanta, GA 30322; or the Juvenile Childhood Diabetes Association.
