Served for 30 years as a chief nurse
Patricia J. Wagner, 85, of Lake of the Ozarks, Mo., died, Friday, Sept. 20, 2013, surrounded by her family. She was born Jan. 8, 1928, in Perrin, Mo., the daughter of John P. and Mary I. (Quell) Broderick.
Patricia was a long-time resident of Lansing, Kan. Before retiring in 1979 and moving to the Lake of the Ozarks, Mo.
On Sept. 8, 1951, Patricia married Peter Lawrence Wagner in Perrin, Mo., he preceded her in death in 1997. She was also preceded in death by a son, Joseph Wagner; a grandson, Charles Partridge Jr.; a son-in-law, George Gonzales; three brothers; and two sisters.
She is leaving behind her son, Thomas (Cyndi) Wagner of Gravois Mills, Mo.; four daughters, Patricia (Marc) Spindler of Camdenton, Mo., Judy (Allen) Ronnebaum of Columbia, Mo., Mary (John) Short of Park City, Utah, and Colleen Gonzales of Corpus Christi, Texas.; a daughter-in-law, Dorothy Wagner of Las Vegas, Nev.; along with 16 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. She will also be missed by all of her extended family members and friends who loved her.
Patricia served her country for 30 years as the Chief Nurse at the Wadsworth Veteran’s Hospital in Leavenworth, Kan.
She enjoyed reading, singing, dancing, traveling and golfing. She loved being with family and friends and attending mass at the Shrine of St. Patrick in Laurie, Mo.
A special thanks to all of her caretakers over the years.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, Sept., 27, 2013, at the R.L. Leintz Funeral Home. The rosary will be prayed at 6 p.m. Mass of Christian burial will begin at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Lawrence Church. She will be laid to rest at St. Lawrence Cemetery. A reception will follow from 12 to 4 p.m. at June’s Cottage Northland. In lieu of flowers memorials are requested to Alzheimer’s Association or St. Lawrence Cemetery.
