  • Runners and walkers alike are preparing for the fourth annual Pancreatic Cancer Research Walk in Linn Creek.
    The upcoming walk is in memory of Officer Floyd Sanders. Family, friends and coworkers want to honor Sanders and raise awareness for the disease.

    When: Saturday, Sept. 28, 2013
    Where: Linn Creek City Park
    West Valley Drive / Linn Creek, MO 65052
    Time: Registration opens at 8 a.m./Walk Begins at 9 a.m.
    Cost: Suggested pledge amount of $20
    However, donations of any size will be greatly appreciated (Please make checks payable to: The Lustgarten Foundation)
    Routes: This is a 5K route (about 3.1 miles). The route will start at the Linn Creek City Park; continue on West Valley Drive to Lake Street, then to Cape Wood Drive. The Turn-around is on Cape Wood Drive, where you will then walk the route back to the Linn Creek City Park.
    Helpful Information:
    Dogs are permitted at the park on a leash and free parking available on site. The trail is handicap and stroller accessible.
    Note: All proceeds will be donated to the Lustgarten Foundation.
