Missouri’s Youth/Adult Alliance (MYAA) selected Katie Partridge, a senior at Eldon High School, to serve as a 2013/2014 MYAA Youth Ambassador.
Selected from dozens of applicants from across the state, Partridge will participate in several trainings in Jefferson City and make at least two appearances at the state Capitol — ACT Missouri’s Prevention Day in January and MYAA’s Speak Hard Youth Conference in March — to speak with legislators about supporting prevention programs that combat underage drinking and drug use in her community.
In her community, Partridge serves as Eldon and Lincoln University Science Fairs, church youth group, and assisting the elderly.
At school, Katie Partridge is active with Band, Speech and Debate, Student Council, Skills USA, and Youth in Government.
MYAA is a statewide coalition made up of both teens and adults that help local communities address problems with underage drinking. MYAA is a program of ACT Missouri – the statewide training and resource center.
