Here we go again with a new mass murder. America goes into what is now a practiced routine.
We wring our hands and say, “How terrible.”
We gather at a place of worship and pray for the victims and their loved ones from whom they have been prematurely ripped away. We may be comforted in our loss but don’t expect help with the problem. God has heard this thousands of times before and will do nothing to help until we quit our hypocracy and do something ourselves.
But we will not. We will split into two camps to ensure that progress is out of the question.
One group will press for restrictions and confiscation as their solution. The other group will insist that the only solution is to arm everyone. The factions will be joined by politicians, hell bent on destroying national unity, who will throw money at the problem further splitting people apart and guaranteeing failure.
We will then wait for the certainty of the next mass slaughter of the innocent.
