September 22, 1776

Nathan Hale, Connecticut Hero

"I regret that I have but one life to lose for my country."

Nathan Hale was an American founding father and Connecticut hero. Caught behind enemy lines during the Revolutionary War, Hale was hanged as a spy on September 22, 1776.  He was twenty-one.
