The Osage Eighth grade football team walked away victorious after taking on Southern Boone on Thursday night.
The Indians finished the game with a score of 26 to zero bringing their overall record to 2-0 for the season.
"They really controlled the scrimmage all night and were able to march up and down the field," Coach Mark Edwards said. "Our passing game looked much improved from the first game, as well. Defensively we were strong once again. Southern Boone runs an unusual offense and we shut them down."
Zach Wheeler threw a 41 yard touchdown pass to James McCann in the first quarter and another 38 yard touchdown pass to McCann in the second quarter. Nick Riley had a 43 yard run in the second quarter. A two point conversion pass from Wheeler to McCann also added to the scoreboard. Finishing off Osage's points, Ian Riley had a 4 yard run in the third quarter.
