Mark Your Calendar  Sept. 19-25

 

Thursday, Sept. 19th

Heartland Task Force will be hosting a Mother-Son Stampede on Thursday, September 19th from 4:00 to 7:00 pm at the Truman Farm and Bruce Normile Center Grounds in Kirksville. There will be a firing range, obstacle course, $5.00 souvenir photos, crafts, hay rides, train rides,  activity stations, s’mores, hot dogs, chips, & drinks. Air Evac Lifeteam will also be present. Sept. 19-20 and Sept. 26-28

Broadway in the Park will have performances of,  The Kids Left, the Dog Died, Now What?  Thursdays, Sept. 19th and Sept. 26th at 7:00 p.m. are non-dinner performances. Tickets at the door.  Friday and Saturday   are dinner theater performances,  dinner at 6:00 p.m. and performance at 7:00 p.m.  Reservations must be made in advanced.  Call 660-627-1485 for ticket information.

 

Saturday, Sept.  21st

The 39th Annual Red Barn Arts and Crafts Festival will be in downtown Kirksville.  More than 90 exhibitors will be here and the streets around the square will be blocked off.  The event begins at 9 a.m. and lasts until 4:30 p.m. There will be 19 new exhibitors and 11 student exhibitors from Truman State University and Kirksville High School.  There will be ongoing entertainment all day from local dance and music groups. Saturday, Sept. 21st

The Adair County Young Farmer’s Truck and Tractor Pull will be at the NEMO Fair Ground all day. Attend and watch this award winning event. Five classes of Trucks and eight classes of Tractors will participate in the day. This event is part of the Iowa-Missouri Truck and Tractor Pullers Organization.  For more information call 660-342-4327.

 

Saturday, Sept 21st

Truman State University Family Day begins at 10:00 a.m. on the Truman campus.  Parents and family members will be in town this weekend touring campus, participating in a barbeque and other activities. The Bull dog football team plays William Penn University at 7 p.m. at Stokes Stadium.
