Osage Middle School eighth grade football team defeated Warsaw on Sept. 12.
Warsaw fell to Osage with an ending score of 20 to 6.
"Our defense was the story of the game tonight. We forced numerous fumbles in the first half that gave our offense very short fields to work with," Coach Mark Edwards commented. "We cashed in our three of those for quick scores. In the second half, our offense couldn't sustain any drives. Our defense stood firm until three minutes left in the game."
During those three minutes, Warsaw scored the six points that they ended the game with.
"It was a very good effort by everyone," Coach Edwards added.
Leading the scoring for the Osage Indians was Zach Wheeler with a 27 yard touchdown pass to James McCann. Ian Riley had a two point conversion run. Wheeler also had a 20 yard touchdown run in the first quarter and a 38 yard touchdown run in the second quarter.
Fumble Recoveries went to Austin Magnuson, Tyler Russell, Nick Riley and Spencer Zeller.
