Valued his time spent on the lake
Camdenton resident James Arthur “Jim” Grammer, Sr. died May 29, 2013 after a brief battle with cancer. He was 65.
Mr. Grammer was born to the late William Joe and Mildred Teresa (Fortin) Grammer on July 25, 1947 in Inglewood, Calif. He attended San Clemente High School and then joined the Air Force, where he was stationed in Arkansas and Florida from 1965-1969. Following his honorable discharge, he and his wife, Judy, moved to southern California and ran successful businesses in upholstery and infant bedding. Following their divorce, he moved to Modesto, Calif., then Missouri, where he started businesses in mortgage lending, and rental maintenance.
Mr. Grammer loved music, fishing, his dogs and cats, sunsets, online games, Harry & David pears, and cooking for friends and family. He especially loved nature and cherished his time out on the lake.
He is survived by his daughter, Teresa Marie (Tracy) Grammer of Doylestown, Pa.; son, James Arthur Grammer, Jr. of Three Rivers, Calif; first wife Judith (O’Kon) Hensley; and girlfriend of 15 years, Karen Udall, along with her sons David of Camdenton, and Jeffrey, of Washington State.
