Devoted wife and mother

Beatrice Louise Day (nee Haley) was born April 1928 at the family farm, near Amity, Mo to Charles Walker (Mike) and Laura Olive (Wagers) Haley. She passed away peacefully on September 14, 2013 at the age of 85.

She attended Fairview Elementary School and graduated from Maysville High School. She graduated from Gards Business College (St. Joseph, MO).

On September 12, 1948, she married E.J. Day in the Ridgeville Methodist Church, near Amity, Mo. To this union was born a daughter, Susan Beth and a son, David Charles. They made their home in the Kansas City and St. Louis areas due to her husband's employment. During his USAF term, she was employed by Peter Kewitt Company, and was at Westover AFB, Mass (Springfield, MA) for four years.

Survivors include, daughter Susan and husband David, son David and wife Diane, 3 grandsons; Jeffrey Sullivan, James Sullivan (Kim), and Joseph Sullivan (Kelly), 5 great grandchildren; Justin (Jeff), Hannah, Bradley and Brady (James), and Kara (Joe), her husband's dear nieces, Karen (Bert) Schultz, Westlake TX., and Marta (Jeff) Means, Portland OR. Bea was employed for many years at Weber's House of Gifts (Paddock Forest) and also volunteered at Lake Regional Hospital, Osage Beach, MO.

She was a devoted homemaker and always wanted the best for her family and friends.

SERVICES: Memorial Visitation Tues., Sept. 17, 4:00 p.m. - 7:00p.m. at BUCHHOLZ Mortuary West, 2211 Clarkson Road, Chesterfield, Mo 63017.
