  • A maintenance repair sparked a vessel fire at Marine Max that injured two Columbia, Mo. people. A 2003 Regal Cruiser driven by David Thompson, 45, had just refueled at the 17 mile marker in Pogue Hollow Cove when Thompson attempted to do maintenance in the engine compartment. An unknown spark ignited the compartment causing injuries and damage. Thompson was flown by Staff for Life helicopter to University Hospital in Columbia for treatment. A passenger, Brittany Bradley, 19, sustained moderate injuries in the incident and was taken to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance.
