Community 4 Kids is a new non-profit organization formed by parents, grandparents, guardians and community minded people for the students of the Climax Springs R-IV School District.
Their mission statement is to help improve the lives of children in need living in the Climax Springs R-IV School district.
The organization provides a Christmas party and gifts to some of the area children. Unfortunately the need is increasing and the need to raise more funds has become an issue.
Community 4 Kids will host an old fashioned Sock Hop on Sept. 14 at the Climax Springs Community Center to raise money for its Christmas program.
The event will start at 6 p.m. Hamburgers, fries and shakes will be served for dinner downstairs. Beginning at 8, a DJ will play the hits of the 50's 60's and 70's. Items will be auctioned and raffled off throughout the event. A cake walk will also be held.
This will be a fun time for one and all and will be an opportunity for our friends and neighbors to support the children of our community.
Tickets are $15 for adults, $25 for couples and $5 for kids. Raffle tickets are $1 each or six for $5.
