  • The Community Foundation of the Lake board of directors invite you to attend the 5th Annual Champagne Campaign on Sept. 24 at Shawnee Bluff Vineyards, located off Highway 54 heading toward Eldon.
“The new vineyard is a beautiful setting for the Community Foundation’s annual event,” the organization’s president Marvin Silliman said. “A need was recognized just a few short years ago to not only help our community become stronger, but to also ensure its viability for future generations,” he added.
To that end, several individuals who are deeply passionate about The Lake of the Ozarks area founded the Community Foundation of the Lake in 2009. The Champagne Champaign is just one of the many ways to assist this philanthropic organization in benefitting “OUR” community.
The organization’s mission is “to build the educational, cultural, health and economic development of our community.” This nonprofit group manages a variety of funds established by families, individuals, and corporations to support this mission. Because it is affiliated with the Community Foundation of the Ozarks, which is headquartered in Springfield, Mo., there are very little local funds used on overhead costs. This means more dollars go straight back into the lake area. The foundation is truly a builder and steward of permanent community resources created by the people and for the people of the lake area.
Come share in this must attend event for people that are connected and actively engaged in Lake of the Ozarks. Enjoy a beautiful setting with live music, raffle items, complimentary heavy hors d’oeuvres, cash bar and a champagne toast in honor of the Community Foundation of the Lake.
