  • Students injured during Friday night’s football matchups now can be examined by an orthopedic specialist on Saturday morning.
Lake Regional is now offering a Black and Blue Clinic, held Saturday mornings now through Nov. 2. The clinic, located at Lake Regional Physical Therapy on the second floor of the hospital, opens at 8 a.m. Students wishing to be seen must arrive by 8 a.m. with a parent or guardian. There will be no scheduled appointments.
“This clinic is a great way for Lake Regional to provide services to injured athletes,” said Melissa Stephens, practice administrator at Lake Regional Orthopedics. “Our physicians are experienced in treating sports injuries, and can help area students get back in the game safely.”
Orthopedic specialists Scott Hofer, D.O; Jeff Jones, D.O; Rick Walker, D.O; and Cody Fox, DPM, will perform the exams.
