  • Blood drives this week to help with shortages

  • Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has issued a code yellow alert for A Positive, A Negative and O Negative blood types. That means there is less than a two day supply of these types on area hospital shelves.

  • Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has issued a code yellow alert for A Positive, A Negative and O Negative blood types. That means there is less than a two day supply of these types on area hospital shelves.
    Your donation is needed to help replenish the supply.
    State Fair Community College at 3797 Osage Beach Parkway, Suite C-2 in Osage Beach, will host a blood drive for the CBCO from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 28.
    Macks Creek High School at 245 Route N will host a blood drive from 11:30 a.m.-5:30 p.m. and Climax Springs High School at 119 Nort Drive from 1-5 p.m. both on Wednesday as well.
    On Thursday, Aug. 29, Osage Beach City Hall at 1000 City Parkway will hold a blood drive from 9 a.m.-noon.
    It takes over 275 donations every day to meet the needs of the 38 area hospitals that use CBCO products.
    Each donation will be awarded 1,000 LifePoints in CBCO's donor rewards program. Information on the new rewards program is available at www.cbco.org.
