  • Kenneth Allen Marley, age 58, of Macks Creek, Missouri, formerly of Lebanon, departed this life on Saturday, August 24, 2013 in Camdenton Missouri.
    Allen was born July 17, 1955 in Buffalo, Missouri, the son of Bill and Bonnie (Newkirk) Marley.
    Allen attended school in Lebanon, graduating in 1973 where he was always active in sports. He went on to Central Missouri State University in Warrensburg, Missouri obtaining a BS in Industrial Safety.
    Allen owned his own flooring business in Kansas City Missouri, eventually retiring to Macks Creek. Allen enjoyed hunting and playing golf, but most of all he loved to spend time with Shane and his family fishing on Truman Lake. He was a devoted Kansas City Chiefs and Royals fan and was always cracking jokes and loved to embarrass whomever he was with.
    Allen is survived by his son, Shane Paul Marley of St. Petersburg, FL; his partner Brenda Helm of Macks Creek, MO; two sisters; Donna Cromer and her husband Roy of Quincy, MO, and Jeanie Marley of Sarasota, FL; two brothers Greg Marley and his wife Robbie of Lebanon, MO, and Steve Marley and his wife Julee of Windyville, MO; and Shane’s mother Heidi Marley of Las Vegas, NV; several nieces and nephews; Emily, Molly, Derrick, Chase, Blake, Michael, Andrea, Jackie, Matt, Beth, Will, Chris, John and Carissa. Also several great nieces and nephews.
    Allen was preceded in death by infant brother, Craig; his parents Bill and Bonnie Marley, and his grandparents Kenneth Marley, Opal Marley, Allen West (Ted) Newkirk and Lena Newkirk Allen.
    Allen was so proud to be a dad to Shane and even prouder that Shane was a daddy’s boy.
    Brenda was committed to caring for Allen throughout his illness. He loved her a great deal and his family is grateful for her devotion.
    Celebration of Life Services will be Wednesday August 28, 2013 at 7:30 p.m.at Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Macks Creek, Missouri. The family will receive friends for visitation from 6 to 7:30 p.m. prior to service time at the funeral home.
    Memorials may be made to Shriners’s Hospital in St. Louis through the Funeral Home.

    Arrangements have been placed under the care of Hedges-Scott Funeral Home, Macks Creek, Missouri.
