  • From food to entertainment, Captain Ron's Bar & Grill has something for everyone.
Opened by Ron and Nicole Duggan with a pirate theme in November 2006. Captain Ron's lends itself to fun times and great memories.
In addition to the sand volleyball courts, a swing set and bounce house, the entertainment hot spot is adding a playground area for kids.
Oh, yeah — and there's also the lake.
During the summer of 2008, 300 feet of lakefront were added, making 700 feet in total. Three more rental homes were remodeled, making 7 all together. The Treasure Pass was completed, which makes for an easy stroll to all of the rentals. A second beach — Cannonball Beach — was added along with two new tiki bars, both of which came from Shooters. A second beach volleyball court was added as well.
All ages enjoy a dip in the water from a large, gentle sand beach. And for kids and the young at heart, there's also the Gypsy Rose pirate ship moored at Captain Ron's. Ask about this pirate adventure at The Treasure Chest Gift Shop.
Meanwhile, adults can relax beachside or hold down a spot at the outdoor tiki bar. The Mermaid Café is also opening on the beach area and will sell food as well as drinks.
Captain Ron's has dining areas indoors and out, so cool off inside or enjoy your "grub and grog" along the water's edge or by the beach.
While the menu has a heavy seafood influence, the restaurant also serves all the classics, including barbecue and burgers and steak and shrimp dinners.
Inspired by owner Ron Duggan's love of family, Captain Ron's is not just a place to eat. Stay and enjoy the day.
