Photos from last week's games, player spotlights, schedules and photos can be found in the latest editions.
Game Night runs with the Thursday issue of the Lake Sun every week throughout football season, beginning this Thursday, August 22. You can also pick up a copy on Friday nights at every home football game.
This week's home games will be at Camdenton, School of the Osage and Versailles, so make sure to pick up the special Jamboree edition at the gate and read up on your favorite lake area team.
    A letter from the editor:
    Hello, football fans!
Itʼs finally here. After months of waiting, football season has finally arrived. Thereʼs been some changes to your teams. New faces, new schemes, new stories, and my goal is to make sure that we keep you as informed and up-to-date as possible.
MSHSAA has put some new rules in place, which I have added in to this week's issue, along with a guide to the football signals, which will appear in issues to come, in case you missed it.
The lake area teams have been working hard in preparation of the upcoming season, and thankfully, this has been some of the nicest August weather I have ever seen.
Iʼll also be posting my picks for the NFL weekly games, and if youʼre like me, you have a fantasy football team to manage. If you have some questions about who to play, feel free to tweet your questions to @BenPetersLSL, and Iʼll give you my thoughts.
Everything gets started this Friday, August 23 with the jamborees. Eldon will be traveling to Camdenton for this yearʼs jamboree, while Osage and Versailles will both host their own on their home turfs. Osage begins at 6 p.m. while the others will start at 7 p.m.
It will be the first time the teams will take on someone other than their teammates this season, so you wonʼt want to miss this first look at the lake area teams.
Donʼt forget to stay tuned with LakeNewsOnline.com for your scores and stories this season. You can also follow us on Facebook!
Best of luck to all teams this season.
