Lake Ozark Police responded to a one vehicle crash on Missouri 242 near Stanton Drive. When officers arrived, they located a maroon and white 1978 Chevrolet Bonanza approximately 300 feet off the roadway with noticeable damage.

The driver, Donna R. Brown, was transported to Lake Regional Hospital for medical treatment for serious injuries inflicted during the crash. Responding officers noticed immediate signs of impairment of Brown.

She was then placed under arrest for Driving While Intoxicated (Drugs) and a blood sample was obtained for evidential purposes after she was transported by EMS to Lake Regional Hospital.

Brown was released to hospital staff for long-term treatment due to her injuries; Brown was later flown to University Hospital in Columbia.

The scene investigation and witness statements revealed Brown ran off the right-side of the roadway at a high-rate of speed, struck a curb, went airborne, impacted with a rock embankment and skidded an additional fifty feet sideways, before coming to final rest in a grassy area.

The Chevrolet received disabling damage and was removed by Hi-Tech Auto Body & Towing.
