Enjoyed hunting and fishing
Kenneth Gordon Moore, age 59, of Versailles, passed away Sunday, August 18, 2013, at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics in Columbia. He was born September 7, 1953, in Versailles, a son of the late Gordon D. and Louise Chamberlain Moore.
Kenny was a real estate broker for several years. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, shooting archery at Laurie Marine and shooting pool on a league at Tony G’s Billiards. When his son, Tanner, was young, he enjoyed coaching his little league baseball teams. Kenny had a wonderful sense of humor and loved to play with his great nephews and nieces who referred to him as "a favorite uncle".
He attended the Versailles First Baptist Church.
Kenny is survived by his son, Tanner Moore stationed at Ft. Riley, Kansas; daughters, Michelle Lutz and husband Brandon of Osage Beach, Missouri and Katie Lewis and husband Travis of Otterville, Missouri; four grandchildren, Taylor Lutz, Ella Lewis, Treston Lewis and Vivian Lewis; brother, Lyman Moore and wife Helen of Gravois Mills, Missouri; sisters, Brenda Self and husband Chuck of Versailles, Karen Snelling of Springfield, Missouri, Teresa Roe and husband Roy of Jefferson City, Missouri and Sheila Yoder and husband Terry of Versailles, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon, Thursday, August 22nd, at the Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home in Versailles with Dr. Todd Forman officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon, Thursday, at the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to Kidwell-Garber Funeral Home, P.O. Box 26, Versailles, Missouri 65084 to assist the family with expenses.
