  • When children go back to school in the lake area, some will have to pay more for breakfast and lunch this year. Due to the price of whole wheat and vegetables, some districts do not feel like they have a choice but to increase prices.
For the first time since 2008, the Camdenton R-III District is increasing their meal prices by 10 cents. Elementary breakfast cost $1 last year but will cost $1.10 for the 2013-2014 school year. Secondary schools will also see a 10 cent increase to breakfast which raises the cost to $1.20. Lunch prices will also raise by 10 cents.
Morgan County R-II, Versailles will join Camdenton in a price increase. They also are increasing their meal prices by 10 cents and the cost an extra milk by 5 cents.
School of the Osage is not increasing their prices.
