Lake Regional Health System is pleased to welcome Christine Livek, M.D., and Becky Kimbell-Farris, ARNP, FNP-B.C., to Lake Regional Urgent Care - Eldon. The new clinic opened Thursday, Aug. 1, inside Lake Regional Clinic — Eldon, located at 304 E. Fourth St.
The walk-in clinic will be open daily to treat minor injuries and illneses. Hours are 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturdays and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays.
“We are pleased with the experience Dr. Livek and Becky bring to the clinic,” said Peter Rao, executive director of Lake Regional Medical Group. “And, we are pleased the clinic allows us to provide greater access to care for Eldon and the surrounding communities, especially after hours and on weekends.”
Dr. Livek has more than 30 years of health care experience. After earning a medical degree from the University of Health Sciences Antigua in the West Indies, she completed a family medicine residency at E.A. Conway Medical Center in Monroe, La. Previously, she received bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from the University of Illinois – Chicago, and she worked as a family nurse practitioner in Kewanee, Ill.
Dr. Livek previously has worked at Lake Regional Health System: she was a nurse and house supervisor at Lake Regional Hospital, and worked at Lake Regional Clinic – Laurie as a family nurse practitioner.
Kimbell-Farris has more than 20 years of health care experience. She earned a bachelor of science in nursing degree from Southern Nazarene University and a master of science in nursing degree from Frontier School of Midwifery and Nursing. She has previous experience providing primary care in rural Oklahoma clinics, as well as emergency care. She also served as a nurse practitioner in the Oklahoma National Guard Medical Readiness Branch.
