  • I recently read the comments of several individuals on the bill that Gov. Jay Nixon vetoed.
I went to Jefferson City and testified before both the house and senate committees on this bill.
The federal government is not supposed to control state laws, or it's people. Gun laws is one of thousands of things that Washington D.C. has overstepped it's true boundaries. Most laws were intended to be dealt at the state level, leaving the greatest power to the states and the people.
This is clear, the states have let their power slip away, and Washington now dictates everything. This was never the intent of the founding fathers. It is supposed to be small federal government serving the states and the people. Washington D.C. over the years has become corrupt and greedy.
It in no way represents the people of America. If a stop is not put to it soon, America, the grand idea of freedom, will die.
