A St. Louis teenager was moderately injured when she fell within a boat after the boat hit a large wake about 1:10 p.m. July 17 at the half-mile marker of the Glaize Arm of the Lake, according to the Water Patrol Division of the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
Taken to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance was Hannah C. Nixon, 17. Also injured but declining treatment at the scene were Megan M. Geiler, 13 of Washington, Mo.; Vicki A. Geiler, 59, of St. Louis; and Adam C. Nixon, 13, also of St. Louis.
All were occupants of a 2001 open motorboat driven by Edward D. Geiler, 60, of St. Louis.
The accident occurred as the boat struck a large wake causing all four passengers to go airborne and land on their backs in the vessel.
