  • The Missouri Public Service Commission has opened a working case to receive information from interested stakeholders and the general public regarding the Missouri Lifeline Program, a program intended to make telephone service more affordable for low-income Missouri consumers.
The PSC Staff asked the Commission to open a working case as part of a report it filed on the Missouri Lifeline Program and Missouri Universal Service Fund on July 11, 2013. The Missouri Universal Service Fund provides financial assistance to qualifying low-income or disabled Missouri wireline customers by offering discounted telephone service.
The intent of the working case, according to the PSC Staff, is to gather information about the Missouri Lifeline Program and to evaluate the purposes and goals of the Missouri Universal Service Fund.
