Gary and Nancy Hollander took their 2012 Supersonic Blue Special Performance Carbon Fiber Edition Z06 Corvette to Bowling Green, Kent. June 26-28 to participate in the Corvette 60th Anniversary Celebration.
The event was hosted by the National Corvette Museum (NCM) and the Bowling Green Assembly Plant (BGAP). The official "birthday" for Corvette is June 30, 1953.
The Corvette Evolution Display had Corvettes from 1953 thru 2013 participating, with one example from each model year. The Team Hollander Z06 represented model year 2012.
Additionally, the BGAP conducted plant tours and GM Engineers displayed the new 2014 7th Generation Corvette, including a revealing of the new "Premium Edition", a special run of 500 only with special equipment and colors.
The final day included groundbreaking for the new NCM Motorsports Park, which will allow racing on two tracks located adjacent to the NCM. Members have supported the building of this new facility thru donations.
The NCM is a 501c3 organization, and was recently named the "8th Wonder of the World". Memberships are tax deductible, and all Corvette owners are encouraged to join.
