  • John Edward Murphy, 66, passed away July 13, 2013 at his home in Lake of the Ozarks, Camdenton, MO.  On Monday, July 22 is Visitation 10:00 a.m., Funeral Service  11:00 a.m. at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. with burial following in Mt. Moriah Cemetery. 
    John was born February 20, 1947 in Oklahoma City, OK, son of John M. and Eva L. (Johnson) Murphy. He was a U.S. Army veteran. John enjoyed boating, and any activity that included his children and grandchildren. He was a lifelong Christian and a loving, caring devoted family man who brought laughter to all who knew him.
      John is survived by his wife of 47 years, Connie Sue (Geschwind), their children John R. (Shirley), Bob (Kim), Michael, Jim (Elizabeth), and Jennifer Chase (Rick); grandchildren Anthony, John M., and Patrick Murphy, Jessica and Allison Murphy, Ricky and Ashley Chase, Marianne and James Murphy Jr.; sister, Jo Ann Rose (Darrell); and sisters and brother-in-law, Kathleen Woodruff (Wes), Jude` Ann Coward (Neil), and Mac Geschwind (Sherri).
