Enjoyed painting and spending time with family
Linda Faye Weeks, age 59, of Lake Ozark, went to be with her Savior surrounded by her family on Friday, July 12, 2013, at her home. She was born in Iberia on July 19, 1953, daughter of Clifford and Delphia (Morrow) Sons. In 1983 Linda married Wilbert “Sonny” Weeks, who survives at the home.
Linda enjoyed painting ceramics and spending time with her family. She was saved on March 21, 1973 at Curry Church and was a member of New Hope Gospel Church near Iberia.
She is also survived by her mother, Delphia Sons of Brumley; two children, Holly Cravens and husband Lonnie and Tony McDowell and wife Rachel both of Ulman; five step-children, Mary Ann McKinnon of Macon, Barbara Locke of Defiance, Nancy Shinstock of Defiance, Pam Carlson of Montreal, and Joe Weeks of Defiance; 19 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and five brothers and sisters, Judy Wall of Holts Summit, Patsy Phillips of Brumley, Joyce Wall of Brumley, Paul Sons of Brumley, and Mary Lou Gamm of Lake Ozark.
She was preceded in death by her father, Clifford Sons and step-daughter, Jackie Weeks.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, July 15, 2013, at Fancher-Rekus Funeral Home in Iberia. Danny Hill and Frank McGuire will officiate. Interment will be in Robinett Cemetery near Brumley.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, July 14, at the funeral home.
