A one-car wreck Saturday morning prompted a Staff for Life evacuation. Michael Moore, 59, of Stover, was driving a 1991 Toyota on Highway 52 near Route AA in Morgan County when he failed to negotiate a curve, ran off the right side of the roadway, overcorrected and struck a ditch. The vehicle then overturned, struck a fence and tree.
Sheryl Taylor, 62, also of Stover suffered serious injuries and required a helicopter evacuation. She was wearing a seat belt. Moore was uninjured. Two other passengers, ages 25 and 13 received minor and moderate injuries. Neither of those passengers was wearing a seat belt at the time of the wreck.
