Get Ready to Rock at this year's Hot Summer Nights events held on select Friday's during the summer months.
It is almost that time again.. time for Hot Summer Nights to return to the Bagnell Dam Strip for the third time this summer.
Hot Summer Nights is held on the Bagnell Dam Strip in Lake Ozark on the following dates: June 14, July 12, Aug. 9 (with a salute to the 40th anniversary of the movie "American Graffiti") and Sept. 6.
All events are from 6-11 p.m. each night. Free admission and participation for all makes and models of cars, trucks and motorcycles. Live remotes, give-a-ways, food, fun and shopping will be available all along the Strip and several new businesses are open.
For this season's Hot Summer Nights, Lake Ozark Helicopters will be flying the Iconic Bell 47 Helicopter (made popular by the TV series Mash). Summer USA and Iguana Watersports will have fun places for photo ops for kids and parents.
The legendary Leo Case will be spinning tunes nightly. Luby's Plaza will feature Project Hysteria from Jefferson City on their stage, and Beavers at the Dam will have entertainment. Pirate Captain Scalawag is a new addition this year. Free charcoal portrait painting for kids ages 10 and under, clowns, face painting and other entertainment will be in front of Summer USA.
The Bangell Dam Strip Association and Tri County YMCA have teemed up with Sakelaris Ford to hold a "Build your own 2014 Mustang" raffle with proceeds to benefit BDSA and Tri County YMCA. Tickets are $20 with no more than 2,500 to be sold.
The winner picks the Mustang of their choice up to $28,000 MSRP from Sakelaris Ford.
The event is held rain or shine.
Visitors can enjoy strolling down the strip, admire the vehicles lined up for viewing, drop in the stores and restaurants along the way and enjoy the vendors and live entertainment available for the special event. The event is free and is family friendly.
The 2013 Hot Summer Night series began on May 10 and will continue July 12, August 9 and September 6.
