The Sharing and Caring Foundation is looking for artists to participate in the Lake of the Ozarks Festival of the Arts. As a joint venture with the Sharing and Caring Foundation, lake area artists and art groups, this event's goal is to sell fine, original artwork all while raising funds for local charities.
This year, the Festival of the Arts will be held at The Country Club Hotel and Spa in Lake Ozark.
"This new location provides plenty of space for artists of all stripes to join us at this worthy event," Mary Andeline, President of the Ozark Brush and Palette Club, said.
This family-orientated art show is open to not only local artists, but artists from anywhere that would like to participate. Artists are welcome to sell their pieces of art. One piece of artwork from each artist must be submitted to be auctioned off. The proceeds of the auction will benefit lake area charities through the Sharing and Caring Foundation.
"The auction will be a fun time to end up owning some beautiful, one of a kind pieces, and at the same time, know your bid ends up helping our needy," Gerry Williams, Sharing and Caring President said.
The Sharing and Caring Foundation is a 10-year-old, non-profit organization formed with the sole purpose to raise funds to assist worthy lake area non-profit organizations in providing assistance to lake area residents. The Foundation is an organized mechanism by which funds can be collected and redistributed locally. Past grant recipients include The Lamb House, Medical Missions for Christ, Lake Area Helping Hands Homeless shelter, Citizens Against Domestic Violence and Camden County Child Advocacy.
Organizers hope that this event draws crowds from around the area.
"This show will be a great opportunity for those in the lake area Labor Day weekend to purchase some of the finest art available in Missouri," Ken Gerardy, Past President of the National Oil and Acrylic Painter's Society, said.
