Lake Regional Health System will host programming this summer to encourage area employers to adopt Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award criteria as their business model. The three sessions will be sponsored by the Excellence in Missouri Foundation.
On Thursday, July 25, Michael Perich, Ph.D., a nationally recognized process improvement expert, will discuss process management. Perich helped Montgomery County Public School District in Rockville, Md., one of the country’s largest school districts, earn the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Award in 2010.
The forum is scheduled 8 to 10 a.m. in the hospital’s third floor conference rooms. The cost to attend is $25, payable to the Excellence in Missouri Foundation.
Two workshop opportunities are scheduled in August and September. The Baldridge Examination Process for Non-Examiners meeting is scheduled 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Aug. 5 and 6.
The Baldrige Examination Process for Executives is scheduled 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug.7, and Thursday, Sept. 5. Workshops will be held in the hospital’s third floor conference rooms.
Participants in both sessions must attend both days. To register for the workshops, please go to www.excellenceinmo.org for a registration form and instructions.
In addition, Lake Regional Health System sponsors quarterly Baldrige Performance Excellence Group meetings. The community program, known as the Lake of the Ozarks Baldrige Community of Excellence is chartered by the Excellence in Missouri Foundation.
Lake Regional was the founding member for this chapter. BCOE focus areas include business, education, health care, nonprofits and local government.
BCOE meetings are designed to facilitate learning from other members and feature speakers from the Excellence in Missouri Foundation, as well as Missouri Quality Award and Baldrige National Quality Award winners.
