The first Toys for Kids Festival will be held at the Laurie Fairgrounds July 4-6.
The event will feature live bands every day, a beer garden, 50/50 drawing, food vendors and biker rodeo games. A bike show will be held Saturday, July 6 beginning at 10 a.m.
Every day is also kids day in the park with games for children being put on by volunteers from Loving Hands Preschool.
Gates open daily at 10 a.m.
Laurie Elks Lodge 2705 is also participating in fundraising with a poker run and swap meet.
It will be $10 a hand with an extra draw for $5 for the poker run. Swap meet will be $10 every day.
Elk veterans will be serving a breakfast of biscuits and gravy and breakfast burritos from 8-11 a.m. Friday, July 5. Cost is $3 each or $6 for both. On Saturday, July 6, they'll be serving from 9:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. with hamburgers and hot dogs with chips for a $4 lunch.
The Elk drug awareness committee will be serving breakfast from 8-11 a.m. Sunday, July 7. The menu will include bacon, sausage, french toast, eggs and a drink. It is all you can eat for $6.
Camping is also available.
