  • MOBERLY, Mo. — Central Christian College of the Bible head men's basketball coach Jack Defreitas has announced the signings of Blake Randall and Brett Ruch for the 2013-14 season.
Randall, a 5-10 point guard, comes to CCCB following a successful high school career at Eldon High School in Eldon, Mo., while Ruch, a 5-11 guard out of Bloomfield, Mo., joins the Saints from Bloomfield High School.
As a junior, Randall helped the Mustangs to a 21-6 record and Tri-County Conference championship in 2012. He missed 13 games during his senior season to a hand injury, but went on to be named the team’s most valuable player at the end of the season.
Randall's ties to Central go all the way back to his great grandfather, Rodney Randall, as well as his grandparents, Jim and Patsy Randall, and a mix of other aunts, uncles and cousins who all attended in previous years.
"Blake comes from a great family and understands the value of what Central has to offer. We are a great fit for each other," Defreitas said. "He’s been a floor leader at the point guard position and that’s extremely valuable to us as we’ll have a lot of new faces this season."
In addition to basketball, Randall was part of the 4x100 relay team that participated in the finals of the Class 3 state meet. He also holds two Eldon High School records in track and field.
Blake is the son of Steve and Toni Randall. He plans to major in either Christian Counseling or Youth & Family Ministry.
