  • Iberia teen killed in traffic accident

  • Tragedy struck Iberia for the second time in a week as 15-year-old Collin J. Colvin was killed in a one-vehicle accident about 12:24 a.m. Saturday, June 29, on Curry Road a quarter mile east of Highway U in Miller County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

  • Tragedy struck Iberia for the second time in a week as 15-year-old Collin J. Colvin was killed in a one-vehicle accident about 12:24 a.m. Saturday, June 29, on Curry Road a quarter mile east of Highway U in Miller County, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
    Colvin was the occupant of a 2002 Ford Windstar van driven by Jacob J. Ponder, also 15.
    The accident occurred as the van traveled off the left side of the road, through two fences and overturned. Colvin was taken to Lake Regional Hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead by Dr. Dean Karas at 3:02 a.m.
    This is the fourth fatality in Troop F in June and the 13th for the year.
    The body of 13-year-old Macala Shelton of Iberia was discovered a week ago after her murder. Steven Neal Henderson, 30, of Iberia has been charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action in connection to her death.
    •A Camdenton youth was moderately injured in a one-vehicle accident about 9 p.m. Saturday, June 29, on Mayfair Drive north of Camelot Drive in Camden County.
    Taken to University Hospital was Emma J. Siler, 9, occupant of a 2006 Chevrolet Monte Carlo driven by Matthew J. Richards, 34, of Camdenton.
    The accident occurred as the Monte Carlo traveled off the right side of the roadway and struck a tree.
