Saturday, June 29th
The Secret Lives of Trees, Thousand Hills State Park
Are you a nature lover? Tree climber? The rangers at Thousand Hills State Park present this program all about trees of all shapes and sizes and reveal their interesting secrets. Come out to the Campground One Amphitheatre from 8 -9 pm to hear from the trees!
Saturday, June 29th
Movie in the Park: The Lorax, Rotary Park Amphitheatre
See this animated rendition of Dr. Seuss’s classic The Lorax as it is displayed on the big screen- outdoors at Rotary Park! The movie is free to attend, so grab your picnic blanket and camp out early for the best seat.
Monday, July 1st – Friday July 5th
Cake Creations, Adair County Family YMCA
Do you have an Iron Chef in that making at your house? Sign them up for Cake Creations, one of the great youth programs being offered at the Adair County Family YMCA this summer! Children ages 5 and up will learn the basic fundamentals of yummy dessert decorating each day from 10-11 am. Call the YMCA at 660-665-1922 to learn more about signing up.
Monday, July 1st
Children’s Art in the Park, Kirksville City Parks
Monday marks the first day of the Kirksville Parks and Rec Department program Art in the Park. Children can participate for free from 1-2:30 pm each weekday through July 26th. Mondays and Thursdays will be held at Brashear Park, Tuesdays will be held at Jaycee Park, Wednesdays will be held at P.C. Mills Park, and Fridays will be held at Memorial Park.
