Miriam Taylor has nothing left to prove on the soccer field. Her athletic resume is already stellar.
But that doesn't meaning she is done adding to it. Far from it, actually.
On Thursday, June 20, Taylor and her fellow teammate Megan Weber took part in the ninth annual Southwest Soccer All-star game at the Cooper Sports Complex.
What took place was a repeat of the 2013 season for Taylor.
Taylor led the Orange team to a 5-1 victory, in which she scored four of the goals, the last one coming off of an assist from Weber. Taylor's dominance earned her the MVP honors.
Morgan Davidson of Ozark scored the only goal for the Yellow team, while Parkview's Emily Courtney scored the other goal for the Orange team.
On the boys' side, Camdenton's Kyler Moore was the only one to take the field for Camdenton in the event.
In the boys' match, both goalies chosen for the game were injured, so each team had to take turns filling in at the goal.
But in this game, the Yellow team would emerge the victors with a score of 4-2. Joe Rice of Joplin was named MVP of the Orange Boys team, while Glendale's Nic Bauer was named the MVP of the Yellow Boys team.
