For all of you basketball players out there, Camdenton has something you won't want to miss.

On Thursday, June 27, the Camdenton Lakers will be hosting a boys basketball clinic. And here's the kicker: it's being hosted in cooperation with the Drury University men's basketball team.

In the 2012-2013 season, the Drury Panthers secured their first NCAA Division II national basketball championship with a 74-73 win over Metropolitan State with a second half comeback on April 7, finishing the season with a 31-4 record and a 23-game win streak.

Now, members and coaches of that team will head to the lake to share some of their techniques on Thursday.

Those who sign up will participate in a one-day clinic, led by members of the team and coaches Steven Gum and Brandon Kimbrough, both Drury grads and assistant coaches on the team last season. The attendees will receive instruction and training on the fundamentals of the game, including shooting and ball handling.
