  • How to Sand Louvered Doors

  • Spare mixing sticks make sanding easy
    • email print
  • When faced with refinishing the louvered closet doors in his house, Club member Gene Alday of Carmel, Indiana, was having problems sanding away the paint between the individual louvers — he couldn’t get the sandpaper between the slats. To solve the problem, he glued strips of sandpaper to both faces of a standard paint-mixing stick. The mixing stick was just the right thickness so he could simultaneously sand both the front and back of the overlapping louvers. Brought to you by: American Profile
