Well it seems life has gotten away with me.  When it's raining I try and clean house and do homework.  When the sun is shining I must be outside.  Work has started on our house, I was offered a full-time job in Human Resources, and did I mention I did the Color Splash Fun Dash 5k?!!!!

I'm not going to lie to you, it was hard.  I think I would have done better had this HUGE hill not been taunting us at the mile mark and again at the 2.5 mile mark.  It was HUGE!!!!  My sisters, a friend, and I all started together, but Lauren and Sara are avid runners, whereas Andrea and I run when we feel it is neccessary.  The had five different color stations and at the beginning we threw packets of color in the air before the shotgun start.  We ran until we were at the bottom of the hill.  Boy did my glutes feel that hill as soon as we were at the top.  We then ran again when we caught our breath and when we crossed the finish line.

That was the greatest feeling ever; crossing the finish line and having people cheering for you was awesome!! My son and husband were there and Corbin ran up and gave me a hug and said, "great job mom, you did it!"  That reason right there, is why, that same day, I signed up for another 5k.  It's a glow run at night.  You run by the light of and with glow sticks and they also throw color at you.  I'm excited and even got my mom to do it!

I finished the Color Splash Fun Dash under the time I had wanted and I had a goal of beating certain people and I did, so life was good!! Except for the fact that my hair line was pink for a couple of days and my feet had some blue on them.  But I can't wait until next year!

Here is to training and blogging more!!!
