The Rev. Alan and Vicki George will share their recent experiences of traveling in Palestine and Israel as Pilgrims of Ibillin at 7 p.m. Monday, June 17, at the Eldon United Methodist Church.

Ibillin, a village in northern Galilee, is also the name of an American nonprofit nondenominational organization which supports the Mar Elias Educational Institutions and six other peace-building programs in Bethlehem, Jerusalem, Ramallah, and other West Bank villages.

The Georges will share the story of new friends -- Christians, Muslims, Jews and Druze – who live with hope and work for peace between Palestine and Israel despite great challenges. In addition, they will share what Americans can do to make a difference in the Middle East peace process.

The Reverend George is a retired United Methodist Pastor from the Wisconsin Conference, and is the father of Rev. Steve George of the Eldon United Methodist Church. Vicki is a retired secondary teacher and director of Christian education.

Refreshments will be served after the presentation, which lasts about 90 minutes.
