A group of teenagers from Nettleton, Miss. began their summer break at Lake of the Ozarks, but not by spending their time on the water. Instead of wakeboarding and tubing, these students volunteered.
The students were at the lake area for three days. During those days, they stayed at Windermere camp, volunteered at the Helping Hands Homeless Shelter and landscaped a Habitat for Humanity home in Camdenton.
The students of Crosspointe Fellowship Church were led by youth pastor Brion Dowden, lead pastor Tommy Dabbs and adult leaders Gabby Coggin and Beth Coggin.
The students included Jensine Coggin, Darius Betts, Joseph Popek, Sarah Lowery, Allison Neal, Cailyn Holly, Ihle Gann, Kamryn Randolph, Garett Sullivan, Dalton Combs, Will Webb and Steven Estes.
