A second fundraiser is scheduled to help raise funds to pay for Donald Parker's funeral.

When a local business in Eldon heard of one family's need, they immediately stepped in to help.

17-year-old Eldon high school student Donald Parker was swept away by rising water during last Friday's storm. His body was found shortly before 10 a.m. the next morning.

Due to the financial burden a funeral and burial brings, the family is hosting various fundraisers to help with the cost.

Ozark Direct Steaks and Seafood has volunteered to host a fundraiser on Friday, June 7 at the Rock City Park in Eldon. Food, fun and games will be available to kids and adults. A portion of the proceeds will go toward the Donald Parker funeral fund.

The funeral service is planned for Saturday, June 8. A viewing will be held for family and friends from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. with the funeral service to follow at The Rekus Funeral Home in Eldon.

Raffle tickets will be for sale. Prizes such as a wedding dress (size 10),  a camping set, gift certificates to local businesses, babysitting services, cleaning services, a professionally baked cake, toys from Stonecrest book and toy, proffesional salon hair care products and much more will be raffled away.
