  • A saturation in Miller County landed three in jail for driving while intoxicated over the weekend.
    The saturation was held in Miller County on June 1. A total of 32 vehicles were stopped. During the operation, one DWI arrest occurred for every 11 vehicles stopped. Of the 32 vehicles stopped, there were more tickets issued for seat belt violations that DWI. Six arrests were made on outstanding warrants.
    The highway patrol did not indicate where the saturation was held or what time of day the checkpoint was set up.
    The checkpoint was part of an ongoing effort by the highway patrol to enforce Missouri's DWI law.
