Thousands are expected to make their way to the Lake of the Ozarks for a wakeboard contest like no other. Liquid Force's world famous BROstock will be taking place June 6-8 at scenic Lake of the Ozarks.
Fueled by Monster Energy, BROstock will feature some of the world's best riders including Harley Clifford, Shane Bonifay and Bob Soven competing in a double-up contest for the winner's purse.
Axis Wake Research, the official towboat of BROstock, will be pulling the world’s best behind a new 2014 A22.
The format of the competition will be the same as last year, three rounds of riding, with each athlete getting two double-ups. The best screw will be taken into consideration.
No trick can be scored more than once. The final will consist of the top five riders of the day.
Lake of the Ozarks hosted BROstock for the first time last year. Adam Errington walked away the winner with Steel Lafferty in second place and Rusty Malinoski in third.
Many world-class athletes will be competing for the coveted winner title. Among those to watch include Adam Fields, Bob Soven, Harley Clifford, Shane Bonifay, Shawn Watson and Steel Lafferty.
Liquid Force's 2013 BROstock's partners include Monster Energy, Axis Wake Research, Spy Optic, GoPro, New Era Cap, and Alliance Wakeboard Magazine.
Local Lake of the Ozarks sponsors include Captain Ron's, Tan-Tar-A Resort, The Lake of the Ozarks West Chamber of Commerce, Lake Media, Chums, Pabst Blue Ribbon and Ethika.
About the Course
Captain Ron’s is located by water at the 34.5 mile marker of the Main Channel, or off Highway 5 in Sunrise Beach.
Best Place to View the Competition
The best place to watch the event will be by boat. A no-wake zone will be established at the mouth of the Captain Ron’s Cove across the Osage Arm, giving boaters a good view of the competition. The event area will be just inside the cove.
Some viewing will be possible from Captain Ron’s property.
Lake 24 is expected to be there filming.
