School of the Osage choir and band students are kicking off their summer with a trip of a lifetime. 140 students and 20 adults left Osage Beach on Tuesday night and drove through the night just in time to arrive to spend a few days in Washington, D. C.
The group has toured the Arlington National Cemetery, viewed several monuments at the National Mall, visited the White House and Capital building. On Friday, both the choir and the band performed at the World War II Memorial and visited Mount Vernon.
Before heading home, the group plans to have dinner at Medieval Times Dinner Theatre on Friday night and visit the Smithsonian on Saturday.
